Today Ministry of Economic Development (MISE ) of Italy announced the appointment with a team of experts to spearhead blockchain development in Italy and Renato Grottola, a member of VeChain Foundation steering committee, will be a part of it.
According to the statement the selections for the high-level expert groups have been completed, which together with the Ministry of Economic Development will elaborate the national strategy on artificial intelligence and blockchain technology.
The selections were made based on the criteria of proven competence and experience within related space in both, European and international levels.
Minister Luigi Di Maio expressed, that:
“MISE considers a fundamental priority for our country to know, deepen and address the issue of artificial intelligence and technologies based on distributed ledgers and blockchain, as well as increasing public and private investments in this direction and technologies closely related to them.”
The release indicates that artificial Intelligence and blockchain strategies, once elaborated, will then be presented to the public. The first meeting of selected experts will be held in January 2019.
“I thank all those who have expressed their availability and I am sure that together with the selected experts we will be able to build strategies that are crucial for the development of our country in the name of innovation “.

VeChain Foundation’s Member Has Been Selected
Renato Grottola, a member of VeChain Foundation steering committee, will be a part of this collaboration. The goal of is to develop a national strategy for Italy and how the county will approach emerging technologies.

In November 2017 Renato joined the Steering Committee of Vechain Foundation, third generation Blockchain platform, and in July 2018 he was appointed as a Member of the Scientific Committee and the Blockchain Technical Group of San Marino.
Such news has made a positive impact to the VeChain community as contributing to such a powerful country is a great recognition that investors will certainly notice.
