Craig Wright is a man full of controversies. Over the years, the self-proclaimed bitcoin inventor has attracted publicity with his, sometimes, outrageous opinions. On Wednesday, he took to Twitter accusing Andreas Antonopoulos of misleading the public about the largest cryptocurrency. Craig discredits Andreas stating that the only thing the latter knows about bitcoin is only the spelling ‘b-i-t-c-o-i-n.’
In Tweet Wright said (we are not allowed to embed the Tweet):
“Word of warning! The renowned shitcoin expert Andreas Antonopoulos is as far as anyone can come to understanding Bitcoin. The only thing correct… how to spell Bitcoin. If you want to learn bitcoin, blockchain Avoid the anarchist priests Sorry. Nothing he tells you is right.”
Craig has always remained controversial and is facing various charges accusing him of various misconducts and illegalities. Recently, A South Florida federal court has denied his attempt to dismiss a lawsuit in which he is accused of misappropriating billions of dollars’ worth of crypto estate. Ira Kleiman sued Wright on behalf of the whole bitcoin estate owned by his brother, the late Dave Kleiman.
Dr. Craig went on Twitter purporting to warn all individuals interested in Bitcoin about Andreas. He referred to Andreas as a ‘renowned shitcoin expert’ and warned everyone who wants to learn anything about bitcoin or blockchain to avoid the anarchist priests. Andreas M. Antonopoulos is a famous Greek-British bitcoin advocate who hosts on the ‘Let’s Talk Bitcoin’ podcast.
Although Craig wants his followers to believe that everything Andreas says is wrong, he also has never proven that he is who he claims he is, Satoshi Nakamoto . The battle of the Titans may, in the end, enable users, analysts, and blockchain enthusiasts to determine the real identity of the inventor of bitcoin.
However, currently, Craig is on the offensive accusing Andreas of just being a layman in the blockchain and bitcoin world. Yet, Andreas is a renowned global expert in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. Craig is yet to provide any proof that Andreas is misleading the general public. Until he comes up with concrete proof of his accusations, his outburst on social media will just remain as a rumor.
Also, not many will take Craig’s stories seriously until, if he really is, he proves that he is the bitcoin inventor as he claims he is.
