PRESS RELEASE: Coinbase is beginning Final Testing of Support for Ethereum Classic (ETC)

Much anticipated final testing is being made to support Ethereum Classic (ETC) on Coinbase. Pro and Prime users get’s to trade first.

Before ETC will be listed on Coinbase Consumer firstly trading goes live for Coinbase Pro and Prime users. Once sufficient liquidity is established Ethereum Classic will be listed on Coinbase Consumer platform . Coinbase team expect this to occur in approximately 1–2 weeks after trading goes live for Pro and Prime users.

Final testing is expected to be completed by Tuesday, August 7 . Team will announce when Coinbase is ready to to accept inbound transfers of ETC. Coinbase intend to allow 24–48 hours of inbound transfers through Coinbase Pro  and Coinbase Prime  before enabling trading.

Ethereum Classic current price is $16.70 with a marketcap of $1,729,369,021.00 . Its price is 14.96% up in last 24 hours.

ETC is a continuation of the original Ethereum blockchain – the classic version preserving untampered history prior to the July 2016 DAO hack.
